2019 RESERVE RED BLEND

$125

The 2019 vintage of our estate-sourced, Bordeaux-inspired wine is aged 20 months in small 100% new oak barrels. The 2019 vintage saw significant rainfall early in the year (March–April). This was followed by a long, moderate summer that promoted smooth, even ripening straight through to harvest and led to average yields. The wonderful conditions of the season afforded the luxury of long hang time on the vine. The resulting wines are deep and intense in color, richly flavorful and with ripe tannins. Truly a harvest to remember.
- +

Elevated aromatics of ripe red berries, sage, black plum, toast, gingerbread, and dark chocolate. A rich and mouth-coating texture with flavors of juicy black cherry, dried orange peel, dried herbs, graphite, red apple skin, and a hint of vanilla. The long finish is complemented by bright acidity and soft, lingering, fine-grained tannins.

ABV 14.5%

Vintage 2019

Our three ranches on Mount Veeder bask in the clear mountain sunshine high above Napa Valley. Estate ranches range in altitude from 1,000 to 1,600 feet in elevation to provide diverse microclimates for a wide variety of growing conditions and fruit profiles. All of the key Bordeaux grapes prosper, keeping with the tradition of being the first vineyard in California planted to all five Bordeaux varieties.

Wine Spectator
Pumps out generous juicy fruit, with notes of plum, açaí berry, raspberry and green fig nicely melded together and backed by hints of mulling spices, apple wood and fruitcake. Flirts with exotic, but delivers the honest structure to keep this sufficiently grounded. A fun wine. Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Merlot. Drink now through 2034.
